This weekend I capped off my “Start of the Summer Celebration Week” with style at the Veuve Cliquot Polo Classic! Guests of this uber-exclusive event (courtesy of the limits of new smaller location, Liberty State Park) enjoyed champagne, picnic bites and rubbed shoulders with famous and the fashion-forward alike. While the purpose of this annual event is to raise money for a different charity each year (this years’ charity was Work to Ride, a non-profit that helps children learn leadership skills through caring for horses), it is also a really great excuse to cram as many fashionable people together as humanly possible, and this year’s attendees did not dissapoint. Scroll down for the fun!
..BLF got a chance to set down on the lovely picnic area and enjoy the view!
..after the obligatory Rose, that is!
For the Classic I chose a simple Carmen Marc Valvo dress with gold and nude accents & rocked the full ‘fro, but check out the more colorful looks below!
I even managed to find me a Play Hubby..
And of course, no party is complete without battle wounds, lol! With all that champagne & fun I believe I forgot to re-apply my sunscreen, eesh!
But what’s a great party without a great story, right? Here’s to Champagne Wishes and Aloe Vera Dreams!
