Out & About; Just Another Day in the Life

In this episode of “famous people doing famous things” We have awards, homage, and a bit of R&R. Peep below to see how your (my) faves have been busy-ing up their summer!

Brooklyn continues its quest to become the hub of the entertainment elite with the hosting of the MTV Music Awards in the Barclays Center this weekend. No awards show would be complete without “OMG!”-worthy moments, and MTV did not disappoint. Viewers were treated to a much-matured Miley Cyrus showcasing her risqué dance moves atop a teddy bear, a rejuvenated Lady Gaga in an elaborate set that took you through no less than FIVE costume changes in the same amount of minutes, and the (albeit brief) return of ‘NSync in a tribute performance.

But the highlight of my evening was Bruno Mars finally getting his just due!

After a difficult year that saw him dealing with the unexpected passing of his mother, Mars took home two moon men for Best Male Video and Best Choreography. Also, “Gorilla” is amazing. You heard it here.

Naya Rivera continued to make men wish their girlfriends were hot like her with a stunning cut-out gown at the VMA’s. Please excuse me while I go do some sit-ups.

Michelle Rodriguez and Brasilena Jordana Brewster were on hand to help present Vin Diesel with his star on the Hollywood Walk of fame. Proving once again that you can’t go wrong if you surround yourself with Latinas (lol), Vin’s girlfriend Paloma Jimenez (not pictured, but trust me she is hot) was also on hand to support.

Nicole Richie and Cara Santana took a break from those grueling Tracy Anderson workouts to enjoy a lighter hike in the hills. Hey, even the famous need a rest day.

And finally, Joan Smalls channels the incomparable Tina Turner in the September issue of V Magazine. I thing she did a superb job of capturing the showstoppers energy!
