The carpet may have been all colors, but the ladies were white hot for the weekend’s awards celebrations! There was no shortage of color, skin ans sexy in this week’s lineup, check out the looks below:
BLF fave Dascha Polanco rocked the Heineken-sponsored green-carpet with this red-hot number at the Latin Grammy’s!
Abandoning her grey locs for a more classic style, Polanco let her curves be the star in this simple silhouette with minimal makeup and jewelry.
Model Mauza Antonio brought a well-needed pop of color to the carpet with her leggy ensemble:
This is normally not my favorite color but she rocked it! The peek-a-boo slits keep it sexy without being pageant-y. Love!
And *literally* bringing up the rear on the green carpet was Rocsi Diaz!
I absolutely cannot say enough about how enamored I was with this dress! It allows me to forgive her for this next misstep…
..later this week at the AMA’s. I’m not quite sure what she was going for here. It’s a bit too youthful, I would have liked it more on Zendaya or Ariana Grande.
On the other hand, Garcelle Beauvais shows the ladies how to keep it grown and sexy.
I have no idea why she is attending but I sure am glad she did! SPEAKING of grown and sexy..
Jennifer Lopez is 44.
J-Lo. Is. Forty. FOUR.

How about you? What were your favorite looks on the red carpet this week?
Looks like this angel is keeping her wings!
Joan Smalls is the lates to be announced in the powerhouse lineup that includes vets like Alessandria Ambrosio and Adriana Lima. This years show is to be taped in London and will air December 9th on CBS. Congrats!
“Orange Is the New Black” star Dascha Polanco took us all for surprise when she debuted her new grey-to-purple ombre hair color on the red carpet at Fashion Week!
Dascha told Latina Magazine, “You know, I like to take risks and play with my hair,” when asked on the carpet. “It’s the time to do it, so why not?”, Polanco took to her Instagram to ask her fans what they thought of her new ‘do.
What do you think?
Fashion Week continues to flourish and BLF is in on the fun! This weekend found me in Chelsea for Storefront & RePopRoom’s Fashion that Pops champagne brunch!
Showcasing 6 emerging brands, FTP brought together influencers, tastemakers and fashionistas for a morning of fashion, art, home decor and innovative food. Creative bites were courtesy of Chef Jordan Andino and LushCakez and featured tasty fusions of flavors such as the chef’s candied bacon sushi, which he enthusiastically exclaimed had been a creation thought up that morning!
Guests were treated to a variety of champagne concoctions upon arrival and were encouraged to sample the savory assortments and pick from the cake pop tree. Lining the walls of the cozy loft space were designs by Vincetta, Ilana Kohn and more, with music pumping throughout the space courtesy of Soundwall.
Fashion that Pops was a welcome oasis to the fast-paced shows that define Fashion Week. I hope to see more events from the collaboration, and definitely will be using StoreFront in the future!
Congratulations are in order for Miss Génesis Dávila!
Miss Dávila, previously a runner-up at the Miss PR Universe and Miss Intercontinental pageants, represented her family’s hometown of Arroyo. The 6-foot stunner will go on to compete at the Miss World Pageant, tentatively scheduled for December 2014 in London. Over 120 countries compete at the Internationally-renowned pageant, which is now in its 64th edition and boasts a televised audience of over a billion.
“Estoy súper feliz, entusiasmada, de sólo pensar que Dios me ha dado esta oportunidad,” says the 19-year old, who also noted she is single. “Este era el momento, lo dije desde un principio, que estaba viviendo el mejor momento de mi vida.”
You can catch more of her post-crowning interview HERE. I can’t wait to see how her team will present her at Miss World!
