Congratulations are in order for Jane the Virgin star Gina Rodriguez as the first-time nominee took home the Globe for Best Actress in a TV Series, Musical or Comedy!
Gina paid tribute to her family and thanked castmates during her tear-jerking acceptance speech.
This also marks the first win for the CW Network, who took a chance on continuing the fledgling series as it struggles to find an audience. News of the Golden Globe nominations has bumped up viewership considerably, so here’s to hoping we see much more of this fun series in the future! Congratulations!
Congratulations are in order for new parents Marco Perego and wife Zoe Saldana!
The “ecstatic” parents welcomed their twin babies into the world this past Monday, December 9, the Mirror reports. The notoriously private couple have yet to release the names and sexes of the newborns. Felicidades to the new family!
A little thing like the first snow of the season didn’t stop the Fashion District’s elite from turning out to view the area’s newest event space- Punto!
Brought to you by Creatives and Event Planners Debora Balardini and Sandie Luna, Punto boasts over 2700 square feet of possibilities over three levels. To showcase the venue’s versatility, each section hosted a different activity; the main entry level treated guests to drinks & bites courtesy of Crave Caterers and a lively samba band and dancer; a photo booth awaited guests who ventured to the rear main level; and the DJ spun tunes in the lounge overlooking the main floor.
A lovely time was had by all! To see more pictures of the event visit Punto’s Facebook page, and for more info on all of the sponsors for the evening’s even visit the Viva Punto Event page. Congrats on a great event!
The carpet may have been all colors, but the ladies were white hot for the weekend’s awards celebrations! There was no shortage of color, skin ans sexy in this week’s lineup, check out the looks below:
BLF fave Dascha Polanco rocked the Heineken-sponsored green-carpet with this red-hot number at the Latin Grammy’s!
Abandoning her grey locs for a more classic style, Polanco let her curves be the star in this simple silhouette with minimal makeup and jewelry.
Model Mauza Antonio brought a well-needed pop of color to the carpet with her leggy ensemble:
This is normally not my favorite color but she rocked it! The peek-a-boo slits keep it sexy without being pageant-y. Love!
And *literally* bringing up the rear on the green carpet was Rocsi Diaz!
I absolutely cannot say enough about how enamored I was with this dress! It allows me to forgive her for this next misstep…
..later this week at the AMA’s. I’m not quite sure what she was going for here. It’s a bit too youthful, I would have liked it more on Zendaya or Ariana Grande.
On the other hand, Garcelle Beauvais shows the ladies how to keep it grown and sexy.
I have no idea why she is attending but I sure am glad she did! SPEAKING of grown and sexy..
Jennifer Lopez is 44.
J-Lo. Is. Forty. FOUR.
**pops in Tracy Anderson DVD**
How about you? What were your favorite looks on the red carpet this week?
I am still picking my jaw up off the floor for WSJ Magazine’s latest feature. Joan Smalls adds a high fashion element to acclaimed dancer Charles ‘Lil Buck’ Riley’s moves in WSJ’s profile of the gifted Artist. All of the YES!!!
